Tony Duffy conducted his first venue liquor inventory at the tender age of twelve for the family run tavern.
Born into the entertainment and nightlife business, he was immersed in music, art and fashion throughout his adolescence playing all age venue and party promoter at a very early age, , all the while being very involved in core venue operation activity. After some secondary schooling and a stretch of active duty in the US Air Force, Mr. Duffy was honorably discharged and made his home once again in Chicago where he committed himself to the Industry he loves and started his nightlife marketing company Lightning Man Promotions Ltd.
 
Over the past 15 years, Mr. Duffy has been involved with venues, event equities, celebrity talent and marketing programs that have garnered international press, trade awards and been the subject of documentary.
 
From 1989 through 1996, Mr. Duffy was entrenched in the progressive faculties of nightlife playing a key role in property development and programming for such historic venues as Crobar and Exit in Chicago. In addition to providing programming, talent acquisition, media relations, production and event management services to venues and event agencies as a consultant Nationwide. Mr. Duffy also created performance and production based concept events that were toured to nightlife venues throughout the U.S. and featured at amphitheater level properties such as Lollapalooza and Ozzfest.
 
In 1996 Mr. Duffy accepted a position with KBA Marketing a Chicago based events and experiential marketing agency where he ascended to the Director of Events position overseeing a staff of as many as 40 event professionals, building a 53 market event planning and production infrastructure with a production asset inventory and annual funding in excess of 40 million dollars. Mr. Duffy also contributed to new business development and experiential programming processes for new and existing clients with both qualifiable and quantifiable considerations. All the while maintaining his company’s interests without conflict.
 
In June of 2003, financial conditions caused major clients to discontinue their marketing efforts conducted by KBA Marketing, ultimately causing the agency’s doors to close. Mr. Duffy then focused back on his Lightning Man Platform where he has experienced great success and growth.
  
Tony Duffy was born in Chicago and maintains his residence in the city with his wife, Gina.
